Welcome to 2009!!

After the somewhat disasturous year that was my 2008, I am now looking forward to a bigger, better and brighter 2009! (Despite my health and all.) I have already got several projects on the go, including my Etsy site, the niteclub that i am now running, plenty of commissions requests and the like, and whatever else swings my way!

I must appologise as well though.... I have been terribly slack and neither updating here nor keeping up here enough in recent times. I may have missed wonderful work, but i simply do not have enough net capacity or hours in the week to catch up with the volume of updated work from all of you. Rather, I am starting fresh from now. Feel free to *slap* me if you think i have missed something in particular...

I feel the need to share some great news (to me at least)... I sold some of my work to peoples in the USA over the holiday break! To me, this is big deal, as they are complete strangers who simply stumbled across my work and liked it enough to purchase it. Not friends or friends of friends wanting to support a venture (or maybe just to be polite). Complete strangers. It gave me the same amazing feeling as when one of you out there digs my work enough to comment or fave it.

It is an amazing feeling when someone digs what it is that you do.

Anyway, that's enough out of me. I am back on deck and ready to go for another year. I hope there are great things ahead for each and every one of us out here.

I very recently had an "interesting" visit to my Doctor.

Um, turns out that not only have i been suffering from Glandular Fever (mono) for the last 3 to 6 months, but that i also have a Parvovirus, the combination of which has left me with Chronic Fatigue.

Apparenty it will probably take about 12 to 18 months for my system to get over all of the above. Add that together with low-iron anemia, and it all begins to make a lot more sense why my anxiety and depression has been flaring up and affecting my life so badly. (Too tired to cope with it.)

After going through the likely causes in my surroundings, I most likely caught it all from a mozzie bite... GAH!!!

Well that would explain why the hells i am always so frikkin exhausted, and why the sleep study done a few months back found nothing conclusive whatsoever... (seriously, sleeping through 3 seperate alarms in a morning?!?)

Anyway, i am now on a bunch of different tablets and whatnot in order to help my system along with all this as much as possible. Other than that, i am supposed to take it easy and rest a LOT.

(The Doc was amazed when she got me to run though my average timetable for any given week. She flat out wondered how on earth I have been keeping up with all that when feeling the way that i do.)

On the upside, my glucose, cholesterol and general required-ingredients levels are great! WOO!

So I am now attempting to actually listen when my body says no, and do what it wants instead of my usual doing what needs to be done pattern. Nanna-naps and general laziness ahoy.... This is going to be a challenge for me, as i don't like not doing things.



There may be more loitering around the internet over coming weeks and months, as that at least makes me sit still for a bit! XP

Woo! I finally got my Etsy store up and running!

Now if only i had a camera that was capable of decent macro shots it would all look a whole bunch better....

Prices are low, due to the conversion rate between our local dollar and the almighty greenback at the moment, i wanted to keep things affordable for locals.
(Also means bargains for any of you Global-types, so double win there!)

i have become unemployed again due to medical reasons. which is a massive dissapointment to me, as i love my vocation (horticulturalist), and the place where i was working was a particularly good fit for me.

anyway, the upshot of this is that i now have a lot more time for creating, building and whatnot. hence, as part of trying to support myself, i am going to open an ETSY store for things what i have made.

once the madness of costume-building for halloween passes, and i get my tasks back on track, i shall post more info.
